What I Want You to Know
As a therapist, I’m going to try to talk to you exactly like I’d talk to my best friend. Look, it can be hard to be a person. And it’s even harder to be a person who knows themselves well and loves that person with compassion, kindness, and understanding. That’s basically what I do. I come alongside the people I work with to help them build a better relationship with themselves. Together, we move away from self-criticism, imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and anxiety and we move toward a balanced, fulfilling, connected life. Is this resonating? You absolutely do not have to be alone with this any more. You are my people and I’d love to work with you.
I connect well with hard workers and high-achievers with little tolerance for their own perceived BS. When we meet, they feel worn down and worried. In the beginning, I often hear things like “I worked so hard to get here, why do I feel this way?” or “What do I want and who even am I?” As an elder Millennial myself, I love working with ages 20-40.
The people I work with often say we’d be friends if we met another way and frankly, I agree! I use a good dash of humor in therapy, so you can expect me to laugh alongside you at how ridiculous life can be. As your therapist, I promise to be authentic, empowering, and honest with you.
Personally
I am a native Texan and grew up a couple of hours outside of Austin in one of those tiny towns you probably haven’t heard of. After bouncing around the country through my 20’s, I moved to Austin, met someone on Tinder (yes, Tinder), eloped with that person in Spain, and planted roots in Central Austin. When I’m not at work, you can find me singing Itsy Bitsy Spider to my baby, on a hiking trail, eating Taco Deli, and trying to keep my plants alive. And when it’s all said and done, you will find me on a patio somewhere with a cold drink and in a good conversation.

What I Want You to Know
Having had meaningful experiences in therapy myself, I know that the work you’re putting into finding the right therapist will be worth it. Part of the reason I became a therapist is to do for others what some incredible therapists have done for me. Counseling with me is authentic and wholehearted. While counseling is indeed my profession, my commitment to each client runs deep and I hold significant care for each person I work alongside.
I’m really into working with young adults and teens grappling with challenges such as feelings of anxiety or depression, tendencies towards people-pleasing, and self-critical beliefs. I also work with many people who are seeking a better understanding of why they feel the way they do and who are searching for clarity about who they are in this often chaotic world.
Ultimately, I’m going to take my training and knowledge to tailor our sessions to your unique personality, perspective, and needs. I get that no one exactly like you has ever lived before and you deserve an approach that reflects your individuality. While so much transformation can happen in the therapy room and many challenging emotions can (and do) surface, I believe there’s also space for laughter, joy, and relief!
Personally
I grew up in Dallas and quickly took off to North Carolina where I was then fortunate to travel to 14 different countries while studying psychology. The shared connection and universal humanity among people, coupled with the diverse life experience and uniqueness that each person possesses, never fails to comfort me. I’ve never felt like I’ve belonged anywhere as much as I do the weird and funky city of Austin, Texas. You can usually find me soaking up the live music scene, practicing yoga, or just about anywhere surrounded by nature. And by the end of the day, I’m probably snuggling with my cats shamelessly watching reality TV. I offer free 20-minute consultation calls to folks curious about working with me.

What I Want You to Know
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, especially when so much is beyond our control. I know how hard it can be to find a nonjudgmental therapist you truly connect with. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel empowered to express yourself, connect deeply, and live the life you want.
I take a compassionate, person-centered approach to counseling, grounded in respect and collaboration. You are never “too much,” and there are no expectations for you to be anyone but yourself. My work is informed by narrative therapy, social justice theory, attachment theory, and other evidence-based approaches, but the heart of therapy is our relationship. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and find meaningful ways to move forward.
I love working with folks who feel like they don’t quite “fit in,” especially those navigating anxiety, perfectionism, self-acceptance, or relational challenges. I provide a supportive space for trans and queer identities and neurodivergence. As a queer, neurodivergent, non-binary person and recovering people-pleaser, I understand the challenges of transforming shame into self-compassion. If you’re doing the work of getting down to who you really are and living accordingly, I’d love to be your therapist. Let’s connect.
Personally
I was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and moved to Austin in 2011. Aside from spending a year teaching English as a foreign language in Prague, Czech Republic, I’ve spent the last 14 years making Austin my home and I love it here. I spent about 7 years working for various tech companies before jumping into the world of mental health. When I’m not seeing clients, I love getting lost in the Greenbelt and checking out state and national parks I haven’t visited yet. I love seeing local bands play and have a deep appreciation for museums and art collectives. I’m an abstract painter and delight in making art with bright colors and defined shapes. I have a sassy and snuggly cat named Cassandra Jean and love taking care of animals. Folks are often surprised to hear that I have volunteered with a Bird of Prey Conservancy in San Antonio and have an interest in birds of prey. I also have a passion for juggling and learning fun tricks and techniques. If you want to get me going, ask me about any of this.
